We are five surgeons who all have definitive appointments as NHS Consultants with specialist interest in Hand Surgery.
Our areas of super-specialist expertise include all aspects of hand and wrist injuries, nerve surgery encompassing brachial plexus, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis of the hand and children’s hand disorders. With respect to disorders of the wrist we have interests in scapholunate instability, distal radioulnar joint, joint replacement for the distal radioulnar joint and radiocarpal joint, and wrist arthroscopy. We offer a service for Personal Injury reports.
Our focus is on delivering high quality hand surgery care and we are dedicated to teaching younger surgeons through the programmes of the BSSH including the Hand Diploma and Masters in Hand Surgery. We have active research interests in biomechanics of the distal radioulnar joint and forearm, computational modelling of forearm biomechanics, flexor tendon injury, proximal interphalangeal joint replacement and reporting outcomes from a wide variety of case series.
We are pleased to offer a daily service (Monday – Saturday) and if your particular condition would benefit from the expertise of another member of our group we will refer you on without further charge.
